I’ve lived in Hudson since I was 2 years old--almost 40 years. The charm of downtown Hudson, the friendly community, great schools, and the proximity to Cleveland and Akron brought my parents to Hudson. These wonderful qualities still exist here today. I attended Hudson schools from kindergarten through high school. After graduating from Grove City College with a degree in mechanical engineering, I started my career with BP Oil in Cleveland. Over the next 12 years, I married Dave, worked and lived in Mt. Vernon, Ohio and Kernersville, North Carolina, and started a family. After our first two children arrived, in 2002, Dave and I moved back to Hudson to be near family and to enjoy the special city that brought my parents here so many years ago.
I am a licensed professional engineer, certified energy manager, and work in design and project management. I am also currently a board member of the Friends of Hudson Parks and serve on Hudson's Environmental Awareness Committee.
Over the course of my career, I have grown my career from project engineer to program director. One of the most memorable projects I worked on, involved designing a system to clean up contaminated groundwater at a large Superfund site in the northeast. Currently I am a program director for Sodexo|Roth, where I manage our energy services team to implement energy efficiency programs for commercial utility customers. As your city council representative, I will use many of the skills I have learned over the years, such as multi-million dollar program management, allocating resources to meet both design and budgetary needs, and working collaboratively with my employees and staff, to continue to keep the charm of Hudson while understanding the need to grow and evolve with a changing world.
